Frequently asked

My steps aren't showing up

Globe Trotter reads from Apple Health. Make sure:

  1. You've granted Health permission. Go to iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Globe Trotter and ensure both Steps and Walking + Running Distance are switched on.
  2. Your iPhone has actually recorded steps. Open the Apple Health app and check today's step total. If it's 0 there too, the issue is iOS, not Globe Trotter.
  3. You're not on a simulator. Globe Trotter shows a · mock data hint when running without HealthKit access.

My journey arc isn't moving

The arc is driven by walking distance, not just steps. If iOS reports steps but not distance (some older devices), the arc falls back to a steps-based estimate. Open Apple Health and confirm a non-zero Walking + Running Distance value for today.

How do I change my destination?

On the Today screen, tap the search bar at the bottom ("Search cities or countries…") and pick a destination. The boarding ticket, globe arc, stats, and widgets will all update to track it.

Can I keep my progress when I switch destinations?

Globe Trotter Pro subscribers can choose to carry over walked km to a new destination if they haven't finished the current one. Free users always start fresh.
